Helen Barrier is an Inclusive Practices Coordinator at the VDOE Training and Technical Assistance Center (T/TAC), at Virginia Tech University. She is responsible for providing instructional support to teachers, building and Central Office administrators who are committed to improving outcomes for students. Her work largely involves leading administrators and teacher leaders to implement inclusive and evidenced-based practices to increase graduation rates specifically of students with disabilities. She received her M.Ed. from Penn State University and is a SIM™ Professional Developer Leader and a past Trainer-of-the-Year recipient from the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning.
