Morgan James is the Associate Director of Program Services for the STEPP Program (Supporting Transition and Education through Planning and Partnerships) at East Carolina University. In her role, Morgan provides daily support to currently enrolled students during the academic year in the forms of advising, mentoring, tutoring, and campus resources. Morgan helped develop and teach the STEPP Program course curriculum, which focuses on equipping students with skills, strategies, and resources necessary to being successful in the university setting. Many of the strategies Morgan implemented in her college courses were originally developed from the KUCRL. She also helped write the College Bound Transition Curriculum which provides resources for teachers and families supporting transition to college for students with learning differences. Currently, Morgan is writing her doctoral dissertation which focuses on evaluating a web-based version of the goal setting strategy Possible Selves with probationary college students (GPA < 2.0).
