This session will focus on the contents of an article I recently wrote entitled "Where Special Education Goes to Die." It will cover the 12 myths that people are using to destroy special instruction for students with disabilities. Participants will be given speaking points that they can use to debunk the myths.

Learning Outcomes/Next Steps

Participants will be able to use the speaking points and the article to talk with administrators and others in education about the forces that are harming special education and the reasons why special instruction is needed.
