Mission
The Institute for Strategic Mathematics Interventions provides a continuum of evidence-based strategies to specifically focus on conceptual knowledge of mathematics operations as well as procedural knowledge and problem-solving skills to improve achievement for all students. Collaboration and professional learning opportunities are offered to address strategic instruction and support the implementation of tiered interventions for students with mathematics difficulties.
Goals
Develop and rigorously evaluate mathematics interventions that focus on conceptual knowledge and align with current mathematics standards.
Engage in research and development of the Strategic Math Series.
Support educators in the implementation of effective and efficient mathematics instruction to engage all students and improve learning.
