What do you like to do outside of work?

A lot of my free time is devoted to making art. 

I grew up loving the creative process while watching my dad make what he called "junk art" from found objects. After a series of personal losses in 1999-2000, I adopted the mantra, "the sun always rises" while making smiling sun art. When my father died, I started using found objects (hubcaps are a favorite) as a nod to him.

What's a fun fact about yourself?

Since 2011, CBS Sunday Morning has broadcast two dozen of my original suns as the show fades to commercial. They feature my sun rising over a sunflower field for the month of May in "Follow the Suns", the very first CBS Sunday Morning calendar (2022).
